A post graduate with a BA(Hons) in Art and Design Nick Steward has been ulitising his outstanding creative illustrational skills to provide high calibre, bespoke artwork to anyone who appreciates exceptional quality painting.
Nick's strong passion for popular culture is very much evident in his personnal choice of subject and painting style. Nick, often inspired by iconography, prefers to hunt for the strongest images available instead of the usual more well known images already used on film posters and promotional artwork.
The more graphic Pop Art style has only has suprisingly appeared in Nick's folio in the last year, having previously approached much of his portraiture and landscape in a more 'photo realism' directon, with staggering results.
Working in the design industry has given Nick the ability to utilies the current comptuter grapic packages, most significantly ' Adobe Photoshop'. Being aware of a high percentage of new popart currently available on the market, that appears to be directly interpreted by images crudely created in 'Photoshop', Nick considers how to best create each piece at length to avoid his paintings from looking like an uninspired manufactured computer genterated image, but something unique and hand made.
